Oversite Voice is speech-driven entry for daily work reports. An inspector holds a microphone button, speaks a plain sentence such as "item 411-01.10, placed 4.2 tons of D mix, Walker's crew was here eight hours", and Gadget, Oversite's field AI, reads it as structured changes to the report: quantities against the bid tab, equipment hours, crew counts, weather, notes, and photos. Off-topic talk is ignored and never enters the record.
Every change is proposed on a card first. The inspector confirms or discards it, and a confirmed change is saved through the same write path a typed entry uses, so a voice-entered report is identical to a hand-entered one everywhere downstream: approvals, exports, and pay requests all treat the two the same. In the product it is labeled AI Quick Entry.

01. One sentence lands in every field it touches.
Hold the mic and say "it rained from 12:02 to 1:28, we put 4.2 tons of D mix down, all the equipment from yesterday is here except the mini excavator, and Walker's crew was here eight hours". Gadget separates that into weather, a pay item quantity, an equipment change, and crew hours, and routes each one to the field that expects it. The chatter on either end is dropped. You can keep talking while earlier changes wait as chips and work through them after, which beats stopping to confirm after every line. On a loud site, tap the keyboard and type instead. Typed entries go through the same review.
02. Nothing saves until you confirm it.
Each change renders as a card with the pay item, the old value, the new value, and the extended dollar amount, and the field it targets is outlined in the report so you can see where it is going. If a required field is missing, the card asks for that one field instead of guessing. If the item number is not on the project, the change is dropped rather than invented. Removals ask for a second confirmation on their own card, and they only accept the literal word confirm.
03. Every word is on the record.
Each session is written to the inspection as an audit trail: what was said, what was proposed, what was edited, and what was confirmed, discarded, or undone. Voice clips stay playable for 90 days and the written record stays indefinitely. Anyone at your company who can open the inspection can replay it, because the record belongs to the report rather than to the person who spoke. Most saved changes reverse with one tap, and the ones that cannot say so on the row instead of offering a button that half works.

What is Oversite Voice?
It is voice entry for an Oversite daily work report. You hold a microphone button on a phone or tablet, speak a plain sentence, and Oversite turns it into proposed changes to the report that you confirm before they save. In the product it is labeled AI Quick Entry.
What is Gadget?
Gadget is Oversite's field AI, the part that listens to what an inspector says and works out which fields it belongs in. Oversite Voice is Gadget applied to daily work reports.
Can I fill out a daily inspection by voice?
Yes. Quantities on pay items, measurement calculations, equipment hours, crew counts, weather notes, general comments, report fields, custom form answers, and photo filing can all be entered by speaking. Signatures and attachment fields on custom forms are excluded.
Does anything save before I confirm it?
No. Every change is proposed as a card, and nothing is written to the inspection until you confirm that card. Closing the chat discards anything still waiting.
Does the AI do the math on my quantities?
No. When you dictate a shape and its dimensions, Oversite records them and runs the same calculator you use when entering a measurement by hand, so the totals come out identical either way.
Are my voice recordings kept, and for how long?
Yes. Each thing you say is saved as a clip on the inspection and kept for 90 days, then deleted. The written transcript and the record of what changed stay on the inspection indefinitely.
Does voice entry work offline?
No. Voice and chat need a connection. When you are offline the launcher is disabled and says so, and every field is still tappable for manual entry, which does work offline.
